Conversation Project intake

Thank you for your interest in participating in this Conversation Project.

This project involves recorded ASL conversation sessions with Deaf ASL users. Participants may be asked to discuss everyday topics, personal experiences, work, education, technology, Deaf community, and other general conversation prompts.

This current phase of the project is focused on Deaf ASL users. CODA / hearing native signers, hearing non-native signers, and other signer categories are not eligible for this current phase, but we may collect basic information from those individuals for possible future project stages.

Completing this form does not guarantee participation in the project. After reviewing intake responses, the project team may invite eligible participants to complete a short screening conversation with Deaf/CODA staff. This screening conversation may take place by Zoom, Teams, or another format arranged by the project team.

If selected, participants will receive a full participation agreement with additional project terms before any official recording session.

This form helps us understand your signing background, communication experience, education, interests, availability, technical access, and comfort with recorded ASL conversation.
